How Do I Burn Under the Tongue While I Use Marijuana?

There are many different methods of working with tincture burns under the tongue, although most people are familiar with the standard tincture method. This is a distillation process that involves boiling the ingredients in a container until the alcohol has been completely distilled. The distillation of the alcohol gives off ethyl alcohol and water vapor. This steam or vapor is then inhaled as you breathe through your mouth. This is done repeatedly until the distillation is complete.

Another way tincture can be used is through edibles – Edibles that work with tincture include things like buttered coffee and buttered apples. You do not have to ingest these items through your mouth like traditional smoking of cannabis tinctures, but there is still a certain degree of burning that can be experienced. Edibles are great because you don’t have to worry about the taste going stale or rancid. You can eat an apple and not even be aware of the fact that you have just consumed an edible.

Inhaling on the other hand is more uncomfortable because – it requires you to not only inhale the steam or vapor but to exhale as well. Exhaling with tincture takes longer than simply inhaling or blowing into your mouth. You first have to empty your stomach to be able to expel the contents. The reason for this is because you have to allow your stomach to empty before you can fill up your lungs with the necessary oxygen that your lungs require to operate properly. Exhaling with tincture takes significantly longer to complete than eating an apple or similar edible.

Tincture can also be used sublingually – This means that you use your mouth and then your tongue to rub the tincture in. It is essentially the same process as with inhaling and exhaling, only it goes sublingually instead of orally. Because you have your tongue to work with, it does tend to move the tincture around a bit more than if you just used your mouth to do so. For this reason, it is advised that this be done with tinctures that have a shorter potency as a lower potency tincture can burn your tongue much more quickly than one that is higher.

Some people may have trouble using cannabis tinctures – on their own due to the fact that your tongue is quite a long ways away from your throat. If you can’t put the tincture in while you are sitting down, then you can’t put it in. If however, you take small amounts when you are sitting down, you won’t need to worry about this so much. This is especially true with ingestible tinctures as they will be much easier for you to ingest when you’re not lying down.

Overall, the most effective way – to consume cannabis tinctures is to use them sublingually. There is much less chance of burning the tongue, as well as less chance of ingesting tinctures into your stomach, which can make things a little uncomfortable. The downside to ingesting orally is that you can potentially get sick from anything that is ingested, even if the oral dose is very low.

With sublingual tinctures, you get to avoid all of these potential problems because the tincture is ingested directly into the blood stream.
